4 Days 3 Nights
The Kedarnath Yatra, which is an annual pilgrimage to the Lord Shiva temple, helped the town of Kedarnath in the state of Uttarakhand become well-known. Kedarnath’s literal translation is “lord of the field.” Since ancient times, Kedarnath has been a major destination for pilgrims.
According to our research on the Kedarnath Yatra overview, one of the earliest mentions of the Kedarnath temple can be found in the Skanda Puran (c. 7th–c. 8th century), which identified Kedarnath as the site where Lord Shiva released the holy water that would later form the Ganga from his matted hair.
